Stuff in Progress
Completed Stuff
- Plan for the summer (one page
description)
- More detailed description of PALplates,
our vision, etc.
- Related Work -- This is
basically the result of our literature search. The actual
papers are in a binder in my office.
- Information about the paper
protytpe, sneakernet, etc.
- Information about the architecture
of the java version.
- Talks ...
- Talk about current
status (6/24)
- Notes taken during
talk
- Hardcoded
java version laying out scenario of finding
printer paper. The java code for this version is
on schilit.pal.xerox.com in
\\Schilit\cafe_palplat\oldPALplate. The html
files are in ~palplate/public/*.htm,l
- Notes from
presentation of current java version (7/15)
- Poster is hanging on wall (where?). The demo
used for the poster presentation is
available, as is the java code used for that demo
(see \\Schilit\cafe_palplat\posterPALplate on
schilit.pal.xerox.com)
- Current
java version demo is available. In order for
it to work, you better make sure that the moo is
up and running on palweb (do a ps to check). If
it isn't you can cd to ~palplate/MOO and type
"restart test" .... make sure gzip is
in your path, though. The best browser to use is
Netscape 3.0.
- Code for the current java version is on
schilit.pal.xerox.com in \\Schilit\cafe_palplat\PALplate
- Other java code I wrote is all in
\\Schilit\cafe_palplat\.... The draggableButton
was a test app for drag & drop stuff. The final
version is incorporated into PALplate (and may have some
changes added). VWeb is a project I did at
georgia tech last quarter which involved connecting to a
mud using java. I've been stealing some code from it. testButton
was where I tested out different types of buttons later
used in the PALplate code. mudTest is left over
from a bug I had when connecting to the mud. I extracted
the essential mud connection stuff in order to find the
bug. Since then, I've changed the mud code to inherit
from Object instead of Thread, and fixed the bug so you
probably don't want to look at mudTest.
