First Annual Workshop, August 4-5, 2008

Purpose:

1. Review ongoing projects funded by the STAR center (presentation and demos by PI and students)
2. Hear presentations of faculty in response to white papers solicited for the next year of funding
3. Select new projects for funding in the next cycle by Samsung

Official ceremony celebrating the First Anniversary of STAR Center to be held in Klaus Atrium on August 5th from 9 AM to 10 AM. This event is open to all.

There was a small ceremony to celebrate the signing of the agreement and the formation of the STAR center.

Some of the key personnel who are behind the formation of the center from Samsung side (Dr. Ilpyung Park, Mr. Duke Kim, and Dr. Woobok Yi) attended the event. The Dean Richard DeMillo, and several members of the College of Computing faculty attended the opening ceremony as well.
