The LBD Cycle contains two essential components of learning from design activities - design/redesign (application) and investigation. Tucked within each of these components are a variety of doing and reflective activities and public presentations aimed at helping students interpret their experiences in ways that will allow them to identify what they are learning and connect their actions with their goals. Together, the two specialize a learning cycle, where the steps in the learning cycle are enacted through activities specific to investigating and designing.
