The research activities of the AEL are supported via a range of collaborations and funding sources.

We collaborate with researchers in various units across Georgia Tech and the Georgia Tech Research Institute, as well as with researchers at the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C. .

Funding for our work has come from the National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research, as well as a gift from Siemen's Corporation via the GVU Industrial Affiliates program. We are also grateful for equipment and software donations from HP, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems, and to support within Georgia Tech from the GVU Center and the College of Computing.
