TURN TRANSPARENCIES INTO POLYESTER PANTS
The planet is awash in overhead transparencies generated by color
printers for presentations. If laid end-to-end, the transparencies
discarded annually would circle the globe six times. About 15
million pounds of the stuff ends up in landfills each year. So 3M
Visual Systems in Austin, Texas, and Gemark Service in Exeter, Pa.,
have developed a recyclying program that turns the film into
