From the Store to Your Door

Before you purchase an item, you can display a picture of it and the nutritional content as well. You can also sort items by various criteria like price, price/unit, total calories, fat, protein, carbohydrates, cholesterol, sodium, and whether or not an item is Kosher. With these features, Peapod can be a useful health and fitness tool, helping you choose foods tailored to your dietary needs.

Peapod can help you save time. For example, if you can't find a particular item, there is a "Find Item" option at the top of the screen, so you can search either by brand name or product type. You can give us specific shopping instructions too, such as "substitute with same price," or "green bananas only," you can click on the "Comment" button and type in any extra information you would like the shopper to know. At any time during your order, you can sub-total the amount you're purchasing, or access the "Help" screen for immediate assistance. When you have decided to buy, click on "Done" at the top of your screen and your order will be electronically routed to Peapod.

When you're done with your shopping trip, you can "Review" what you've ordered, or create a personal list of items you order frequently, like a special "baby," or a dinner party list to order from again and again. When you "Send Order," you choose a delivery time within a 90-minute delivery slot. Pinpoint delivery (within a 30-minute window) can be selected for a small additional charge. Payment for delivery can be made by check, charge, or Peapod Electronic Payment.

All of your groceries are delivered in crush-proof bins, carefully packed so that delicate goods remain intact, and refrigerated/frozen merchandise stays cold. If there is a problem with the order, simply contact Peapod Membership Services and they'll take care of it. You can E-Mail Peapod at the end of each shopping trip with questions or comments.
