Don't know if you 've seen the ad in Jan '97 Windows:
DeLorme introduced the "Tripmate Hyperformance GPS Navigation" a complete GPS receiver (didn't say
how many satellites) that connects to you laptop via 9-pin mouse port (serial, I guess). Looks like
a mouse. Also includes Street Atlas 4.0 CD, integrated with GPS to show your real-time position. If
you don't have a laptop with CD, you can load just the maps you want via floppy.......and the list
price is only $149!
