o Update on status of Camera
Chris has gotten basic Visual C++ code working to make the camera
take pictures of his aquarium
Chris and Ed will try to get together this weekend to work on the camera
Chris will not provide beer for us if we go to his house
o Update on status of GPS
Darrin (the grad student) now has the Garmin GPS
Darrin is also working on parsing the data from the Garmin GPS
Marty will be getting a Garmin GPS XL from GTRI
Marty has a portable computer to use, and will install Visual Basic
on it
Jeff and Marty may get together this weekend to work on integrating
o Market Analysis
We have received two Pen Computing magazines from Prof. Abowd to see
what other platforms are out there
Shervin has started searching for what is already out there
Shervin will collate a list of things that are out there, along with
a summary of what each can and cannot do
o Talked about long-range goals
Future platform may or may not be Apple MessagePad 2000.
The primary concerns are cost, size, and processing power.
Another concern is how to program the Apple MessagePad, as only
one person (Jason) is on the team that has had experience programming
on that platform.
