Getting Started

Generic Unix Command Startup:
You should be able to type dx at the shell prompt. However, if you are told that the command is not found, try the full path name "/dx".

Manual Blurb

The IBM Data Explorer package has been installed on the SciVis SGI and DEC systems. The IBM Visualization Data Explorer (Data Explorer or simply DX) is a general-purpose software package for data visualization and analysis. It employs a data-flow driven client-server execution model and provides a graphical program editor that allows the user to create a visualization using a point and click interface.

The license server for Data Explorer runs on DEC2.GVU.GATECH.EDU.
