BrowseFile

DESCRIPTION

This module reads a file whose name is given in a type-in, and displays its contents in a scroll list widget. The input file should be relatively small. When the user selects a line in the scroll list, that line is sent out on the output port.

BrowseFile is useful for applications that place alternatives, such as a list of filenames, in a file and allow the user to select one. The output is typically wired to a text widget or a file browser widget downstream.

Port: Entry
Type: Parameter
Duplicate of the selected line in the scroll list.
