SciVis Lab Workstation Information

The following is a list of the workstations in the lab and their hardware and operating system information.

Workstation Listings

• Dash - a 175 Mhz R10000 SGI O2 with 128 Mb and video capabilities
• Flash - a 175 Mhz R10000 SGI O2 with 256 Mb and video capabilities
• Jiggy - a 195 Mhz R10000 SGI O2 with 256 Mb and video capabilities
• Speedy - dual 375 Mhz R12000 SGI Octane with 512 Mb RAM and video capabilities
• Vivace - the file server, a 180 MHZ SGI with 128 Mbytes
  
• Hummer - a 850 Mhz Pentium III PC with 256 Mb Cache and 512 Mb SDRAM (dual NT/Linux)
• Dart - a 850 Mhz Pentium III PC with 256 Mb Cache and 512 Mb SDRAM (dual NT/Linux)

Other Equipment

• HP 4500 Color Printer (near video window in GVU Center)
• Video editing equipment

In addition, SciVis lab users have access to the GVU SGI machines, Macs, Suns and PC's (when not currently in use by GVU faculty).
