GT/SAIC Scholars Program

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) demonstrates a commitment to addressing the critical shortage of underrepresented students in the field of science and technology. A key factor to sustaining success for SAIC is their commitment to recruiting, retaining and advancing a diverse, talented team of highly motivated professionals to solve critical challenges to the benefit of their customers, suppliers, employers and the communities in which they live and work.

As part of the undergraduate research opportunities initiatives in the College of Computing, the SAIC Scholars Program is a two-year program in which undergraduate Scholars are paired with graduate student research Mentors and assist them with their research project. Undergraduate Scholars are able to select which research project interests them, thus pairings are based on the individual interest level of a particular research area. Scholars are also given a stipend and also gain valuable professional networking opportunities with faculty, staff, and the SAIC professionals.
