Domain Analysis and Reverse Engineering (DARE)
Table of Contents
Introduction
Most existing reverse engineering techniques examine a program from a syntactic
point of view, without any understanding of the program's application
domain.
The Domain Analysis and Reverse Engineering (DARE) Project is an attempt to
augment reverse engineering with knowledge of a program's application domain.
By building and using application domain models, we hope
to increase the scope of what can be recoved from existing code and reduce the
effort required to perform the recovery.
