Winter Quarter Plan

• Goals:
  The purpose of the Class View group is to make Virtual Midtown into an educational tool by adding programming interfaces for the different languages used in the computer science curriculum. With that in mind, the single primary goal for this quarter is to hand over the Java Native Interface (JNI) and a set of programs developed last quarter to the 1502 TA's. The secondary goals involve creating new programming interfaces for C and C++.

  Primary Goal:

  • Hand over the JNI and a set of programs to 1502 TA's

  Secondary Goals:

  • Complete C Programming Interface
  • Complete C++ Programming Interface

• Task Description:
  Java Native Interface and Java programs to 1502 TA's
  • Complete the Java Native Interface
  • Test NT Client and a permanent server in the clusters
  • If necessary, tweak programs developed last quarter for the JNI
  • Coordinate with Head 1502 TA on timing of presentation
  • Give presentation to 1502 TA's
  • Allow TA's time and place to play with technology
  • Gather Input/survey 1502 TA's
