Adire Cloth

This cloth was made by the Yoruba people of
Nigeria. The blue color comes from dye made
from the indigo plant, and the white patterns
were made using a cassave-paste resist. The
pattern is said to mean "Ibadan is a happy
place," referring to the Nigerian city.
