I am routinely asked to process a letter for the CoC's Ph.D. and MS students for one reason or another. The requests have grown tremendously therefore, I am requesting that everyone please follow the procedures below if you need a letter.
1. Order your Certification letter on-line via OSCAR registration (processed by the Registrar's Office) and follow the steps given. (This letter states that you are registered and in good standing at the Georgia Institute of Technology)
2. If you require proof of financial assistance (i.e. Teaching/Research Assistantship), please email me your request and bring the Certification letter to my office after I have responded to your email with a "ready for pick-up date." I will process the Statement of Financial Support letter and you can attach it to your Certification.
3. Many International students request that I process letters that will possibly assist your family member(s) to visit you here in the U.S and I have done so. The Certification letter should be enough verification therefore, I request that you also order the Certification letter via OSCAR. If you still feel that you need the financial support letter, please follow #2 above.
