This document describes the changes to version 1.1 based upon a GOMS analysis of version 1.1 conducted in class, and by suggestions from test users and classmembers.
Based upon the GOMS analysis and in-class suggestions, we modified the main student dialog in the following areas:

The pull-down menus duplicate the functionality of the main dialog boxes for mood or stoplight. Now the user can directly send his slide or mood vote directly - thereby reducing the overall number of keystrokes. The pull-down menus look like:

Now selecting the applicable menu item will directly send the message to the instructor.
The ask a question dialog's appearance is the same, but the text box has been given the initial focus, reducing the keystrokes by allowing the student to immediately enter text into the dialog.
The main instructor dialog was changed by removing the Reset All button and replacing it with a Next Slide and Previous Slide Button. This allows more intuitive operation, and also provides for backtracking. The Cancel button was also removed, since it was superfluous. The new dialog looks like:
The mood dialog was enhanced by dynamically drawing a bitmap gauge to depict the current class mood. It now looks like:
