  • This region had the largest group with doctoral education, while other college education was relatively low.

  • A larger percentage of access was in education than in any other European area.
Survey question: Please indicate your current household income in U.S. dollars.
  • Web users in this region had the lowest incomes of all the regions with 80 percent having incomes of less than $25K.

  • Educational access dominated in this region.

  • Internet experience was comparatively high in this region.

  • This region showed the strongest resistance to paying for WWW sites.

  • These percentages show a great deal of time spent on work computing, but they have to be interpreted in the light of the fact that most of the survey respondents in this region were in computing and educational fields.
