About Mikiya Tani

I was a visiting researcher in the College of Computing of Gerogia Tech from Jan 4th 1996 through Jan 12th 1997. I recieved the M.S. degree in Applied Mathematics from Kyoto University. After researching and developing the natural language interface for multi purpose in the Media Laboratory, C&C Information Research Laboratory of NEC Corp, I was researching the advanced interface on a digital library in Kansai C&C Research Laboratory of NEC Corp. I was staying in GVU center from January 1996 to December 1996 and working with Gregory D. Abowd and Christopher G. Atkeson. I would like to join one project of Future Environment Computing(FCE).

research interest

I am interested in the flexible information sharing system, the user interface for novice user on a digital library, content-based search. I created various java interfacesfor Classroom 2000 project, that is one of the Future Environment Computing(FCE)projects.
