Wendy Rogers

Wendy Rogers is a professor in the School of Psychology. She has
a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts
at Dartmouth and a master's degree and Ph.D.in psychology from Georgia Tech.
Her research involves skill acquisition, human factors, training and cognitive
aging. Active research projects are: training older adults to use new
technologies such as ATMs, the Internet, etc.; human factors issues in
telemedicine; designing and training issues for home health care medical
devices; and cognitive strategies for performance improvement and learning.
Research is funded by the National Institutes of Health (National Institute
on Aging) as part of the Center for Applied Cognitive Research on Aging. She
is the author of Designing for an Aging Population: Ten Years of Human
Factors/Ergonomics Research, and co-author of Handbook of Human Factors
and the Older Adult and Aging and Skilled Performance: Advances in
Theory and Application.
