Sha Xin Wei

Sha Xin Wei is an assistant professor in the School of Literature,
Communication & Culture. His interests are differential geometry, aspects
of mathematics and scientific simulations, and media theory. His current
work concerns the performance of differential geometry. To inform
this phenomenological approach, he studies issues related to gesture
and performance, narrative structure, computer-mediated interaction,
geometric visualization and writing systems. Recently, he has also begun
to explore alternative mathematics to create pliant computational
media. Sha received a Ph.D. in mathematics from Stanford University in 2001.
