Kenneth J.
Knoespel Associate Dean of the Ivan Allen College of Management, Policy,
and International Affairs
and Professor of the
School of Literature, Communication and Culture, received his Ph.D. at the
University of Chicago. He is the
author of a book on the methodology of
early scientific commentary and has contributed chapters to books on the
strategies of scientific and technological discourse including Chaos and
Order (Chicago, 1991), Literature and Technology
(Lehigh University Press, 1992), and Literature and Science as Modes
of Expression (Boston Studies
in the Philosophy of Science, 1989). He has been a visiting professor at
Cornell University and a senior fellow
at the Edelstein Center for the History of Science and Technology
at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
He is the editor of Configurations, a new interdisciplinary journal
published by Johns Hopkins University Press in cooperation with Georgia
Tech. His current GVU research interests include projects on the
development of scientific communication within electronic networks as well
as research on long-distance learning and the formation and use of graphic
databases.
