Karen Milchus

Karen Milchus is a Research Engineer with the
Computer Access Lab at
the Center for Rehabilitation
Technology. She
received a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Michigan
and an
M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from
Case Western Reserve University.
Karen's Master's research was on providing supplementary force feedback
to the upper extremity neuroprosthesis developed by the
Cleveland FES Center. Formerly,
she also worked as a Rehabilitation Technologist with the
University of Wisconsin - Stout with
what is now the Assistive
Technology and Assessment Center (1991-1994). While there, Karen
co-authored Wisconsin's procedural manual on transporting students
with special needs. Her present interests include computer access
technology in the workplace or school setting. Karen is a member of
RESNA (on the Education
Committee).
