Frank Dellaert is an Assistant Professor in the College of
Computing. He has a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University. His research
focuses on developing computationally efficient algorithms to construct
models of physical phenomena from massive amounts of noisy, ambiguous data.
His particular approach is to pair theoretically sound, probabilistic,
model-based reasoning with randomized approximation methods to attain
efficiency. His current application focus is on reconstructing large-scale
3D models from many simultaneous video-streams.
