David Rosen

David Rosen
is an Associate Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
In May 1992 he received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the
University of Massachusetts
under Professor John Dixon. Prior to
attending UMass, he worked as a software engineering at
Computervision for
two years developing advanced MCAE software. David received his Bachelor's
and Master's degrees from the
University of Minnesota
in 1985 and 1987,
respectively. While attending UMass and UMinn graduate schools,
respectively, he worked at the Ford Research Labs as a visiting research
engineering for three months and at
Control Data as a programmer. At
Georgia Tech, David is a member of the
Systems Realization Laboratory,
emphasizing the integration of Computer-Aided Design methods and tools into
the engineering design process. He is also the Academic Director of the
Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing Institute (RPMI),
organizing a research and educational program in product realization.
