We think our Carpenter branch followed the Dodge Timber Company to Telfair County, Georgia perhaps from the Carolinas. According to David Delacy Carpenter Jr., there is a book (maybe the "Dodge Timber Book") that has some details. There is also a 1982 book entitled "Carpenters Aplenty" by Robert Carpenter that may have some leads but I emailed Robert and he looked and did not find any links to us.
