    Wrote X programs on Solaris, AIX, HPUX, OSF/1 & IRIX operating systems.
    The programs used Motif, Xlib, and Xt libraries.

  Graduate Research Assistant                     January 1993 - September 1994
  Multimedia Computing Group, GVU Center, Georgia Tech
    Worked on the Mercator Project, a system which captures information from 
    X Windows-based applications and then maps the graphical output into an 
    auditory form to provide access to GUIs for blind users. Wrote a program 
    that mapped text to a speech synthesizer (i.e. screen reader). Incorporated
    X messages into the system. Increased responsibility led to a redesign and 
    architecture of the system. This included re-implementing the entire 
    system (16K lines of code) and modifying the underlying Xlib and Xt
    libraries. All code was written in C++ and TCL, using X calls and the 
    Athena widget set.

  Intern: Computer Programmer                        July 1992 - September 1993
  Sprint -- Atlanta, Georgia
    Designed and wrote scripts for internal customers on Sprint's nationwide
    electronic system. Maintained an information system consisting of scripts 
    and bulletin boards.

  Bell South Services -- Atlanta, Georgia
    Position One: Networking and Provisioning Department (2 quarters). 
                  Analyzed hardware performance data for VPs. The analysis 
                  was done through the use of spreadsheet and graphic packages.
    Position Two: Information Systems, Revenue Department (1 quarter). 
                  Supported Southern Bell's billing system by maintaining 
                  COBOL programs.
