Deliverables
A caveat: I use Macs to do my writing. Unfortunately, many
Unix Postscript viewers and interpreters have difficulty with the
Postscript produced by Macs. In general, however, if you press
the issue, things will work for you. For viewers, I have found
xpsview much more robust than ghostview. If you have problems,
try setting "Watch Progress" and "Ignore Comments" in the Options
menu on. As to printers, older versions of Postscript interpreters
seem to like Mac Postscript more than newer versions. Be persistent
and try a few different printers before giving up.
I have made the following Postscript documents available to you in this page:
- My one page resume
- A complete list of my publications
-
Evaluation of the effects of frame time variation on VR task performance.
Benjamin Watson, Victoria Spaulding, Neff Walker & M.W. Ribarsky.
Soon to be a technical report; under review at VRAIS '97.
-
Effectiveness of peripheral level of detail degradation when used with
head-mounted displays. Benjamin Watson, Neff Walker, Larry Hodges &
Aileen Worden. GVU Technical Report 96-04. A portion appeared as a
short paper in the CHI 1996
conference (April 14-16, 1996).
-
A user study evaluating level of detail degradation in the periphery
of head-mounted displays. Benjamin Watson, Neff Walker & Larry F. Hodges.

December 18-19, 1995. (Identical to GVU Technical Report 95-31).
For a shorter version, see the
two page abstract presented as a technical sketch at the SIGGRAPH '95
Conference. A slightly modified version
will appear in a coming issue of Presence.
