Features of the desk

• 26" CRT display
• projector display with an A1-sized transparent tablet used to provide the desktop with an pen-input facility
• stylus pen for annotating
• keyboard for text input

Switching input methods

• displaying documents on the upright display, when the keyboard is in the middle of the desk
• projecting documents onto the desk, when the keyboard is not in the center of the desk

Aim:

• reducing the number of commands users are expected to input
• different from DigitalDesk, but these features could also be applied here (but aren't)

Retrieving Files

• linking 'real objects' to electronic files

Discussion:

• switching between input methods is necessary, because a 'direct' interface (keyboard) to the computer is yet still needed
