For those of you coming to Hack Fest this week, here is a quick
summary of some of the special events in store:

1) indoor positioning system tutorial (tentative, based on equipment)
2) CyberDoor (Fujitsu panel installation), We have a 21-inch
gas plasma display that is going to be hooked up and ultimately
mounted on a refrigerator door.

3) video capture. We hooked up some video cameras in 102 last
week. This week we are going to see what kind of streaming video
we can capture. Ultimately, this service will augment the audio
capabilities of Classroom 2000.

4) document camera for C 2000. Last week, someone mentioned the need
for a scanner or document camera to more easily feed paper-based
information into Classroom 2000. Well, it turns out that we have
a really nice document camera in room 102, I just never unpacked it.
We'll do that as well.

On the horizon for Hack Fest. We have a shipment of new MessagePads
and Pilot 5000s to help us start building some collaborative PDA
applications.

Jen Mankoff has volunteered to give a tutorial on MOOs next week.

See you.
Gregory
