I urge any students interested in learning and adaptation to sign up for
the following course on numerical machine learning. It will probably not
be offered next year.

Spring 1997 Seminar Course: NUMERICAL MACHINE LEARNING

This course explores how to use numerical techniques like neural
networks and reinforcement learning to recognize patterns (understand
speech and handwriting, for example) and control systems (control
robots, factories, and software agents, for example).

There is a graduate version: CS8113B
and an undergraduate version: CS4803B
Both classes meet TTh 3-4:30 in COC 102
