Vision Based Remote Control in Intelligent Home Environments

This contribution shows in full detail how to realize a gesture
recognition system for controlling appliances in home environments. It
focusses on the image processing aspects and the calibration of the
cameras but also clarifies details about remote controlling devices by
gestures with the help of a vision system. Some hints for an intuitive
dialogue are outlined.
