Given that we are most likely going to be talking about future
computing environments in the home in the Fall, it makes sense for
us to coordinate with work Ken Calvert is starting up on the in-home
infrastructure needed for things like CyberFridge.

Reminer that the Broadband Brown Bag Lunch will be held this Wednesday, May
15th in MiRC #102B from 12-1:30pm--Ken Calvert will be our speaker. His
topic is:

Title: Home Information Infrastructure

Abstract: While many players rush to deliver "bits to the doorstep",
efforts are also under way to specify an architecture for dealing with
bits on the other side of the threshold. I will present an overview
of various proposals for home network architecture, including VOST
(VESA Open Set Top Box), CEBus, and others. If time permits, I will
also discuss what's wrong with the IP model for inter-/intra-home
applications.
