Sounds like a nice idea, but I don't think anyone has done it. Apple, or
whoever makes the QuickTake for them, would have to write a Newton driver
for the QT. They probably don't see a large enough market of people who
own the QT and a Newton. If you could actually display the photos in
color on a Newton, impossible at this time for obvious reasons, it might
make a more marketable package. Also, full-color photo files aren't
terribly small, so you would need a medium-capacity flash card.
Lastly, Kodak makes a higher-end digital camera with a PCMCIA slot for
storage. Although more expensive than the QT or some of the other Kodak
cameras, it still fits in the consumer-grade price and features set.
People who need to dump large numbers of photos off for storage without
lugging a laptop have an existing solution in the market.
