In an effort to revitalize Georgia Tech's student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Vernard Martin (known to many as "V") was elected president for the 1996-97 school year.

While the ACM has been known to hold some very interesting events, in the past year it floundered due to an unusual set of events affecting the outgoing president.

With V as the new president and a committed group of other core officers (vice-president: Gail Rosen, secretary: Maribeth Gandy, and treasurer: Brian McNamara), the officers hope many students will give the ACM a second look.
