A work item is a logically encapsulated piece of work
- Easy to describe
- Clear responsibility of an individual or team
Entry conditions
- What the work item requires to be started
Exit conditions
- What is produced by the work item, and how the completion of the work item is assessed
- Completion is either/or (A 90% complete task is incomplete)
