I am very pleased to announce that volunteers for each of the
events rule committee chairs have been found. They are:

Event 1: Find life on Mars
         Reid Simmons, Carnegie Mellon University
           reids+@cs.cmu.edu

Event 2: Find the Remote
         Ian Horswill, Northwestern UNiversity
           ian@ils.nwu.edu

Event 3: Home Vacuum
         Pete Bonasso, Nasa JSC
           bonasso@mickey.jsc.nasa.gov

Event 4: Hors d'oeuvres anyone?
         Kurt Konolige, SRI
           konolige@ai.sri.com

Members of the rules committee for each event cannot compete in the
same event (but may compete in others).

The chairs will be completing each rules committee and then drawing up
the final rules for each event. If you, as competitors would like to have
input into the event you are competing in, please comtact the chair
directly for suggestions, advice, etc., or forward the request to
either Jim Firby (firby@cs.uchicago.edu) or myself (arkin@cc.gatech.edu).
