Mark Devaney. (Computer Science.) Multi-agent plan recognition. (Advisor: Ashwin Ram.)
http://www.cc.gatech.edu/people/home/markd

Mark is a PhD student in Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science in the College of Computing. He received a BA in Philosophy and Computer Science from Tufts University and an MS in Information and Computer Science from Georgia Tech. He is interested in learning and induction and is currently researching the recognition of plans and tactics in multi-agent domains.

Anthony Francis. Experience-based agency. (Advisor: Ashwin Ram.)
http://www.cc.gatech.edu/ai/students/centaur/

Anthony Francis is a Ph.D. candidate in Artificial Intelligence at the College of Computing. He received his B.S. in Information and Computer Science from Georgia Tech in 1991, and expects to complete his Ph.D. in 1997. He is studying the relationship between agency, memory and reasoning as part of his thesis research; his other research interests include natural language understanding, case-based reasoning, distributed artificial intelligence, animal cognition, problem solving, semiotics and cognitive science. He occasionally teaches CS3361: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence. He is also a professional science fiction writer.

Todd Griffith. Scientific Discovery through Model-Based Construction. (Advisor: Ashok Goel and Nancy Nersessian.)
http://www.cc.gatech.edu/aimosaic/students/Ai-students/griffith/

Todd Griffith is a Ph.D. student in Artificial Intelligence at the College of Computing. He received his B.S. in Computer Science/ Engineering and his B.A. in Philosophy from Bucknell University in 1991. He received an M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech in 1995 and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. His research involves the computational modeling of scientific reasoning taken from the history of science, and from scientific problem solving protocols. The goal of this research is to understand the creative reasoning processes that are involved in the construction of complex scientific models such as analogy, spatial reasoning, and generic modeling.

Sunil Mishra. (Intelligent Systems.) Agents for managing information. (Advisor: Ashwin Ram and Christopher Atkeson.) http://www.cc.gatech.edu/people/home/smishra/index.html

I am a first year PhD student in the CS program at Georgia Tech. Before this I was at Northwestern University where I worked on analogical learning and reasoning with Prof Kenneth Forbus. I am interested in agents that manage information for the user. For more information please refer to my WWW page.

Bill Murdock. (Computer Science.) Reflection. (Advisor: Ashok Goel.)
http://www.cc.gatech.edu/grads/m/Bill.Murdock/

Bill Murdock is a Ph.D. student in AI within the College of Computing. He received his B.A. in Computer Science, Linguistics and Semiotics, and Computational and Applied Mathematics from Rice University in 1994. He received his M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech in 1996. His research focuses on topics such as reflection, model based self-redesign, adaptive systems interacting with real world agents, scheduling problems, etc.
